The Department of Dance Education Explores Collaboration with the Bangkok Indonesian School and the Bangkok RMUTK IC

The Department of Dance Education of FPSD UPI conducted a collaborative assessment with two educational institutions namely the Bangkok Indonesian School (SIB) and International College & Rajamagala University of Technology Krungthep (IC, RMUTK) Bangkok, Thailand. November 30, dd. December 3, 2016.

The first visit, the group consisting of 10 lecturers from the FPSD UPI Dance Education Department was accepted at the SIB Hall by Dodo Sudrajat as Minister Counselor, Information and Socio_Cultural Affairs of the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, Olih Sodikulhikmah as The Principal, as well as all teachers and students start from kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school.

In the speech represented Dr. Yuliawan Kasmahidayat, M.Sc, said that the purpose of the group’s visit was the exploration of collaborative activities including workshops, training, and PPL for UPI students from both the Dance Education Department and other Departments or study programs.

According to the Head of Public Relations of UPI, on this occasion, the group also presented three dances namely the Gatot Kaca dance, Priangan Mask dance, and Cikeruhan dance. The dance presentation gained appreciation from students and teachers, so that it continued in the question and answer session and practice-learning workshop activities of one of the dances, Priangan Mask dance. The activity was also attended by lecturers from the University of Bangkok and Chulalongkorn University.

Furthermore, Dodo Sudrajat emphasized that the importance of the collaboration explored by the FPSD UPI Dance Education Department especially in SIB, to strengthen cultural values ​​contained in various Indonesian cultural arts. < / p>

Dodo Sudrajat welcomed the PPL activity plan to also provide opportunities for Dep. students. Pend. FPSD UPI dance to fill the dance on the upcoming August 17 2017 at the Indonesian Embassy.

Meanwhile Olih Sodikulhikmah said this activity received attention from several universities in Bangkok. Indonesian Cultural Arts Learning has special attention because it has very diverse characteristics and learning models.

The second visit at the IC RMUTK group was received by Director Dr. Paitoon (Deputy Director of Students Affairs), Dr. Prattana Srisuk (Deputy Director of International Affairs), Dr. Hathaikorn Panngum (Director of International College), and Nico Irawan, M.Pd. (International Affairs and Partnership).
